Suren started his career in chartered accounting at Price Waterhouse in 1986.  He was employed for five years advising on corporate tax in the merchant banking and finance division.  Continuing the trend at identifying opportunities for large corporations, Suren established international trading and arbitrating companies in which he still holds directorships.

Suren gained greater experience in the financial services industry when, as an independent consultant to a large financial planning firm, he designed financial strategies for "high net worth" individuals.  His innovations and ambition resulted in the creation of MASU Financial Management Pty Ltd, where he established the financial planning arm.

Suren has a degree in Law and a triple major/honours degree in Economics from the University of Sydney, a Diploma in Financial Planning and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Suren is fully accredited with the Real Estate Institute of NSW and holds a Real Estate Licence with the Department of Fair Trading. He is also an accredited member of the Mortgage Industry Association of Australia.

Suren’s experience in financial planning has led to an invitation to become the Chairman of the CFP (4) task force on revising the education standards for investment planning for new practitioners. Suren is also an accredited oral examiner for CFP’s, as selected by the Financial Planning Association of Australia.
